Words from the Founders,
"WE STARTED BRANDBLACK WITH THE INTENTION OF CREATING SOMETHING THAT FELT BOTH INNOVATIVE AND FASHIONABLE. A PRODUCT DIFFERENT FROM PERFORMANCE YET NOT RESTRICTED BY THE RULES OF CURRENT FASHION. WE WANTED TO BUILD SOMETHING THAT EXISTED IN THE SPACE BETWEEN."
Deus ex Machina (god from the machine) roared into Australia’s cultural consciousness in 2006, with some neatly customised motorcycles and a quaint notion that doing something is more fun than just owning something.
Deus ex Machina is a step bigger than a brand: it’s a culture. Our openness and enthusiasm strike a chord with people, wherever they are…

This success prompts Harold, son of a master tailor, and Freda to produce their own Duffle coats for their new company Gloverall. Harold decides to refine the duffle coats; he replaces the thick jute rope fastening, which can be difficult to attach to the coats, with leather straps and also introduces an Italian check back fabric.

Always faced with changes, challenges, failures, and successes. That's what the season of change is all about. It's an internal drive that makes us want to do more. for family, for friends, for our community, and even for ourselves. in a world that seems to have a struggling constant at the moment, we're taking the road the keeps us en route to what we love doing.
